The Pet Travel Scheme permits the movement of pet animals (dogs, cats and ferrets) to the UK without the need for quarantine.
Once your pet has been microchipped and vaccinated against Rabies we can issue a pet passport. Please visit Defra for the most up to date requirements of the Pets Travel Scheme.
There are many diseases occurring abroad that are not seen in the UK.
Preventative treatment is usually needed to protect your pet against ticks, sandflies, heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) and tapeworm (Cestoda) but this varies depending on your destination.
We strongly recommend an appointment with vet or VN for a pre-travel consultation at least 3 weeks prior to your trip.
